Acknowledgement of $50,000 of financial support from Lions Club of Richmond
This year, The Mary Potter Foundation were delighted to recognise a wonderful milestone in community support.
Since 2013, the Lions Club of Richmond has been finding thoughtful and practical ways to support The Mary Potter Foundation, helping make a meaningful difference for patients and their families.
Behind this incredible support is a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly through the Club’s charity shop in Camden Park, turning donated goods into funds that make a real difference.
Their support has taken many forms over the years, from helping fund essential equipment, including wheelchairs and a ceiling hoist, to providing outdoor furniture, artwork and resources that make the Hospice a more welcoming place for patients and their families.
One of their most valued contributions is their ongoing support of the Hospice drinks trolley. All throughout the week, the trolley makes its way around the Hospice, offering patients and families a chance to enjoy a favourite drink or a little something to share.
These simple moments of familiarity and connection can mean so much during a difficult time.
This past financial year, the Lions Club of Richmond reached an incredible $50,000 milestone in financial support to The Mary Potter Foundation. And when considering the equipment, experiences and everyday moments of comfort they have helped make possible, we know their contribution means so much more than a dollar figure.
To all the members of the Lions Club of Richmond, thank you for your continued commitment, your practical kindness and the many ways you help support patients and families when they need it most.
In recognition of this remarkable contribution, and the lasting impact the Lions Club of Richmond has made over many years, The Mary Potter Foundation is honoured to award the Lions Club of Richmond Inc. Honorary Life Membership.
This is a small token of deep appreciation for their ongoing commitment to The Mary Potter Foundation mission and the many ways they continue to make a difference to patients and families.
